Holder of the IDIS Chair, teaches design in 4th year.
Véronique Maire is a designer. She began her career at the Andrée Putman agency, where she developed products for the home. In 2006, she created her own design studio, focusing on her interest in craftsmanship. She then launched her own brand, mamama, dedicated to tableware, which allowed her to gain first-hand experience of production and distribution issues. This expertise has led her to work with some of the biggest names in the industry.
At the same time, she regularly works on events for which she designs the scenography and/or curates the pieces, notably as part of the Biennale Emergences.
At the ESAD in Reims, she is a member of the Scientific Research Council and is involved in the ‘Formes de l’Innovation Sociale’ (Forms of Social Innovation) research unit, which brings together the school’s various disciplines.
Since 2015, she has held the IDIS Chair in Industrial Design and Social Innovation. Her role is to develop the Chair’s various activities (introduction to research, dissemination and promotion). She collaborates with production sectors in the Grand Est region and leads design research projects focusing on local resources with students on the Master’s programme in Object & Space Design.
